A National Effort to Identify the Next Brilliant Minds
Following the close of applications and the review phase, the Angola Brilliant Minds programme has completed a key stage: the provincial evaluation phase.
This phase brought the programme into the field — across provinces, communities, and real candidate environments — ensuring a structured and fair evaluation.
🧠 How Candidates Were Evaluated
Candidates completed exams through the Quest digital system, provided by Dukes Education.
The objective was to:
- Assess academic readiness
- Evaluate reasoning and problem-solving ability
- Identify candidates ready to advance to the national stage
This is not about memorising content — it is about demonstrating the ability to think.

Each location was supported by supervisors and coordinators, ensuring:
- Organisation and control
- Candidate verification
- Consistent standards across all regions
According to Mariano Chiteno, Coordinator of the Committee:
“This phase represents an important step in identifying talented young individuals across all provinces of Angola.”

The provincial evaluation phase made it possible to:
- Identify candidates with high potential
- Ensure inclusion across multiple provinces
- Apply fair and consistent standards nationwide
- Advance the strongest candidates to the next stage
All exams were conducted in an organised manner, with minimal incidents.
