(What Happens Now After Applications Closed)

On 31 January, applications for the Angola Brilliant Minds Scholarship officially closed.

Since then, we have received a high volume of questions about results, tests, and timelines. This article is here to clarify exactly what is happening now — and what to expect next.

📊 A Programme Defined by Scale and Excellence

This year, we received:

• 2,563 applications from across Angola
• From these, 1,146 candidates meet the eligibility and communication requirements to proceed to the next phase

This level of demand reflects the extraordinary talent and ambition of young people across the country — and also the responsibility we carry to assess every application with care.

🧠 How Applications Are Being Reviewed

Every application is reviewed individually.

Here is how the process works:

• Each application takes approximately 15 minutes to review thoroughly
• All documents are checked carefully for accuracy and completeness
• If an issue or missing detail is found, candidates are contacted directly
• No application is filtered automatically or ignored

This is a sensitive and demanding process, and it is treated as such.

👥 The Review Committee

To ensure fairness and quality, we have assembled:

• A committee of 6 highly qualified reviewers
• Overseen by a 7th senior supervisor
• All reviewers are trained to:
  • Apply the same standards
  • Use the CRM correctly
  • Handle each candidate with care and consistency

Each reviewer is responsible for approximately 200 applications.

The committee is working toward completing this qualification phase within one week.

📍 What Is Happening in Parallel (Logistics)

While applications are being reviewed, a dedicated logistics team is working in parallel to prepare the next stage.

This includes:

• Coordinating testing locations
• Preparing logistics across Luanda and all 21 provinces
• Ensuring conditions are fair, organised, and consistent nationwide

This work is already underway.

There is no need to send follow-up messages asking for confirmation.

We are moving carefully, respectfully, and decisively.
